2017 blog post here
I've been struggling with writing this for over a month. I've been reflecting on the words and scriptures for 2017 and listening for new words for 2018.
For your Maker is your husband-- the LORD Almighty is his name-- the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth. - Isaiah 54:5 (NIV)
11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. 13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. - Jeremiah 29:11-13(ESV)
2017 was indeed a year of rebuilding and dreaming. 2018 will see new things out what was rebuilt in 2017. In the words of Amanda cook, the disappointments of the past seasons will be made into a dance floor (and isn't that just like our God). New personal gifts, lovingly handcrafted for me, will be lavished on me. They will fill up and spill over, blessing many. Jeremiah 29:11 was a verse from a past season, that is being echoed again now reminding me of past promises.
Take a moment to listen to what God has to say to you for your next season and remind yourself of past promises. I highly recommend writing it down and going back through the year and at the end.
This year I'm attempting to manage my time better. I am being more intentional about rest and putting first things first. I want to get back to writing regularly. It is my goal to publish two post a month on Monday. I also am trying to post more on the Facebook page in between blog post. However, I never want to focus on quantity over quality or try to limit the Holy Spirit. I make no promises to stick strictly to any schedule.
