Wisdom isn't something that can be forced. It is a dove that lands gently and is quickly frightened away by the smallest movement of arrogance and pride. Wisdom can not be mastered or chained. She is the most valuable companion. But grab her with rough hands and you'll find you've grabbed folly instead; wisdom's perverse clingy twin who is never good company.
6 Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. 7 The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding. - Proverbs 4:6-7(NIV)
Wisdom cries aloud in the street,
in the markets she raises her voice;
21 at the head of the noisy streets she cries out;
at the entrance of the city gates she speaks:
22 “How long, O simple ones, will you love being simple?
How long will scoffers delight in their scoffing
and fools hate knowledge?
23 If you turn at my reproof,
behold, I will pour out my spirit to you;
I will make my words known to you.-Proverbs 1:20-23(ESV)
2 My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. - Colossians 2:2-3(NIV)
But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. - James 3:17 (NIV)
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. - Proverbs 1:7 (NIV)
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. - James 1:5(NIV)
It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. - 1 Corinthians 1:30(NIV)
Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, - Proverbs 3:13 (NIV)
