One thing I strive for with this blog is to be authentic. Authenticity can be hard because it requires vulnerability. Truth is always what people need. Scripture says we over come by the blood of the lamb and the word if our testimony. Yet many Christians aren't telling their testimony. Or they are telling such a cleaned up version it has become powerless. It is very hard to exalt God and exalt ourselves at the same time. To tell of the great things he has done we have to admit that we were so weak and broken we needed Him. If I have to be humbled to show off God so be it. I'll happily move out of the way, and be brought low, to see Him lifted up.
But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God. - Acts 20:24
The one who has the bride is the bridegroom. The friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom's voice. Therefore this joy of mine is now complete. 30 He must increase, but I must decrease. - John 3:29-30
They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. - Revelation 12:11
